Event Description

WHAT
Brian Block will lead a "herp outing" at Prairie Creek Preserve. This field trip is an introduction to herpetology, the study of reptiles and amphibians. We will learn about the natural history of Florida's many species and discuss tips to identifying them. Brian will bring a few snakes just in case we fail to find anything ourselves. Activities will be closely supervised to ensure no one handles any species that are potentially dangerous.

WHERE
Witness Tree Junction (intersection of 2082 and CR 234), not far from Prairie Creek Lodge.

WHEN
Saturday, September 29th, 9:00am - 12:00pm (meet at Witness Tree Junction).

WHAT TO BRING

Bring your favorite field guide, a decent pair of boots, long pants, waders (if you have them), snacks, water, a camera if you wish, your lucky trinket, and some optimism. ACT will provide some bug spray.
