About the Organic African Cooking Zoo

From Ethiopia's teff, we have injera, the soft pancake like bread used to scoop up food like warm lentils in a community tray among friends at a meal. The Baobab tree in Senegal that you see in the photo for this group produces a juice that is sweet and refreshing. Have you had Red Zinger tea? Its main ingredient is hibiscus, a flower commonly used all over Africa to make this delicious, thirst quenching red drink. Senegal offers us Tyson, a spice laced with pepper that can only compare to berbere, the combination of fiery spices Ethiopians love. Join us here in the Organic African Cooking Zoo and learn about different ways to use the food from your garden.
