The solution to world hunger

photo from The Satellite, "Liking the Lentils", by Greg Turner

You've wondered? Lentils. And, the Satellite has an excellent, simple recipe for cooking 'em in their May issue.

Oh, and there's also Lambsquarters.
You're not going to believe this. Check out the nutritional value in this plant that grows like a weed.

Solution to world hunger? If that caught your attention, there are distribution channels, funds, and grassroots organizations that can use all the help you have time and resources for. You're in the right place here at Zoobird. But, lentils and lambsquarters are cheap, nutritious and just plain taste good!

To anyone who buys organic veggies from a store you may want to read this blog post. It's information you're going to want to here if you buy produce rather than grow your own.

Polenta with carrots, corn, basil, garlic and onions. Breaded with Panko and baked, served with roasted corn and red pepper sauce. Yum yum yum!

Carla: Funny, I bought some almond milk and tried it for the first time tonight! I'll try making that couscous & almond milk dessert manana.

I clipped that almond milk & couscous dessert recipe from NYTimes as well. I've seen almond milk in Publix - organic section dairy cooler. Ciao.
