October 4, 2012 to October 7, 2012
Marc WIlliams and Mycol Stevens will again return to the Hostel in the Forest for the weekend of October 5-7. Instead of starting Friday evening as we had done in the past, we will encourage people to come a day earlier as Nancy Gildersleeve will teach us pine needle basketry and palm frond weavings. Frank Cook's World

Frank Cook was a botanist who spent his life learning about nature and teaching. He's no longer with us but his legacy and body of work lives on, fortunately! Join us and take a look at the wonderful world he's created for us that describes the nature surrounding us, that we're woven in with. See More

Mark-o-rama pajama! Hey, mon. You said you weren't sure what I meant by my comment. What I meant by my comment was that even though 1600 friends might be all over the chart, I consider myself a real live friend. We've met in person. Hung out. I've gone to your workshops. Our friendship isn't based on business like a lot of "friends" on FB. Have you seen that article that tried to estimate what size a person's network should be to be manageable? Something like 50, max. Even less, maybe. Muy, muy interesante, amigo. The web. She changes everything, no? Spoken by an hombre who picked the name "Cambridge Web Design, Inc" for his company moniker. Now, for some champagne yeast. I got some new apple cider jugs that are callin out 'mead, make some mead'. Hey, did you ever think of making a zine or somehow publishing your stuff? Which reminds me, I need to put some content in the Frank Cook Group. Chow, compadre. Talk soon.

Have you always wanted to make your own bread? Well, here's a little article about making rye bread with a bread machine. This bread machine came from a thrift store and only cost $11.99! The ingredients to make Russian Rye were so simple you won't believe how easy it was. Enjoy!
