Hi Layla, I get it - I had a dog with constant allergy eye infections and itchy feet, finally gave up on vets, changed his diet and built up his immune system. You did not mention what you feed your lab. Believe it or not this could have a huge inf…

Hi Layla, The obvious thing is to take your lab to the vet to ensure there is no underlying issues i.e. ruptured ear drum, yeast infection, etc. and if no underlying issue and it is a yeast infection you may want to first use their prescription. Thi…

Hi Patricia, Just got your message. I'll be praying your work involving the natural care of dogs will be very successful especially since you don't now have a 'real job'. I have my own piano and soon to be environmental business and I've never been happier working for myself! Have a GREAT day! I wish you all the best in doing what you love to do. That's where it's all at. You go girl!

Hi again, I just happened to be on the site and found your comment waiting. I have done yoga classes in the past and would like to get started back. I found them very relaxing and limbering. I don't have any special books to suggest but what I have found helpful is going into a meditation mode by first lying flat on my back on my yoga mat or a carpet with my arms and legs out in a relaxed manner. Then I start (using a conscious focus) relaxing the top of my head, then my eyes, then my jaws, chin, neck, arms, hands, fingers, torso, legs, feet, and lastly toes. Just allow any thoughts that try to intrude to just pass on, forget your cares, worries, etc and allow yourself to totally relax. Just either picture what you want, or hear someone telling you to relax, or feel yourself relaxing depending whether you are more visual, hearing, or a feeling person. I'm quite visual and seeing it works for me. Have you joined Environmental Zoo yet? Would love to have you. I haven't checked it today. Blessings, Ellen

Hello Patricia, I see your new and want to say 'welcome'. I'm having a lot of fun on this site getting to know a lot of really nice people. I'd like to know more about you and especially your interest in mind-body-spirit. I also would like to invite you to join my new group, Environmantal Zoo, where you can express concerns, solutions, ideas, or anything else you'd like to share. See you there?

How to Use Clipless Pedals - wikiHow

While clipless pedals are intimidating to many new cyclists, they offer efficiency that cannot be gained any other way. Before using them, it's often worth it to invest a little bit of time into becoming familiar with the way they work.

Barry Hannah's Long Shadow

One afternoon in July, the author Barry Hannah took to the small roads south of Oxford, Mississippi, where he lives, to visit the grave of friend and fellow writer Larry Brown. Hannah hadn’t been out this way in some months. He missed an important turn at a place called the Yocona River Inn and had to stop at a country store to ask directions...

Grow Your Own Spring Salad Mix | Garden Guides

If you're craving fresh greens and horrifed by supermarket prices, why not grow your own? Nothing tastes fresher and sweeter than a spring salad just picked from your own windowsill or garden. The best time to harvest Mesclun is early in the morning before the sun is high; heat causes wilting. Start harvesting when the greens are two inches long, never letting them get more than six inches tall; use scissors to snip them off just above the growing crowns (about one inch above the soil level). This is called the cut-and-come-again method because the crop will grow back; if you water and lightly fertilize after harvesting, the greens should be ready for harvest again soon.

What Is Kombucha?

Kombucha is a living health drink made by fermenting tea and sugar with the kombucha culture. The result can taste like something between sparkling apple cider and champagne, depending on what kind of tea you use. It's not what you'd imagine fermented tea to taste like.

Masticating Juicer

A masticating juicer is the answer to every juicing problem. Because it operates on the mastication process, this type of juicer chews the fibers and breaks up the cells of vegetables and fruits. This give you more fiber, enzymes, vitamins and trace minerals. This all results in the darker, richer color of the juice and a sweeter, richer more full-bodied flavor.
