Prevention of heartworm is multi pronged. a) ensuring your pet has a healthy immune system is important - a good quality raw diet or if not possible, then a good quality dry or wet food is important. b) outdoor pets are at higher risk -…"
I get it - I had a dog with constant allergy eye infections and itchy feet, finally gave up on vets, changed his diet and built up his immune system.

Hi Patricia, Just got your message. I'll be praying your work involving the natural care of dogs will be very successful especially since you don't now have a 'real job'. I have my own piano and soon to be environmental business and I've never been happier working for myself! Have a GREAT day! I wish you all the best in doing what you love to do. That's where it's all at. You go girl!
I am just looking around on this site, well done, my friend.
I have been doing yoga with Caleb and Spencer. I think the 'restorative
classes' are good for folks like you and me. It makes you feel wonderful!!
Hi again, I just happened to be on the site and found your comment waiting. I have done yoga classes in the past and would like to get started back. I found them very relaxing and limbering. I don't have any special books to suggest but what I have found helpful is going into a meditation mode by first lying flat on my back on my yoga mat or a carpet with my arms and legs out in a relaxed manner. Then I start (using a conscious focus) relaxing the top of my head, then my eyes, then my jaws, chin, neck, arms, hands, fingers, torso, legs, feet, and lastly toes. Just allow any thoughts that try to intrude to just pass on, forget your cares, worries, etc and allow yourself to totally relax. Just either picture what you want, or hear someone telling you to relax, or feel yourself relaxing depending whether you are more visual, hearing, or a feeling person. I'm quite visual and seeing it works for me. Have you joined Environmental Zoo yet? Would love to have you. I haven't checked it today. Blessings, Ellen
Hello Patricia, I see your new and want to say 'welcome'. I'm having a lot of fun on this site getting to know a lot of really nice people. I'd like to know more about you and especially your interest in mind-body-spirit. I also would like to invite you to join my new group, Environmantal Zoo, where you can express concerns, solutions, ideas, or anything else you'd like to share. See you there?
"The noticeably bitter taste of turnip greens has been linked by researchers to its calcium content. On an ounce-for-ounce basis, turnip greens contain about 4 times more calcium than a much less bitter-tasting cruciferous vegetables like cabbage."
Have you always wanted to make your own bread? Well, here's a little article about making rye bread with a bread machine. This bread machine came from a thrift store and only cost $11.99! The ingredients to make Russian Rye were so simple you won't believe how easy it was. Enjoy!
