Russian Rye, Anyone?

Bread machine! I finally got one. Do any of you have great heirloom recipes to try?

Well, the bread machine is rocking and rolling! I'm not a bread expert, so this is a fun way to start. Prep time is about 10 minutes for a loaf of delicious bread. So, it's easy to put the ingredients in the machine, press the button and wait a few hours. Voila! It's done!…

Defining the "Food Movement"

There is a “movement” in the US that revolves around food. Words such as: local, grassroots, small, organic, natural, alternative, sustainable, regenerative, specialty, niche, family, community supported, whole, fresh, foodsheds, farmer’s markets, cooperatives, pick-your-own, buying clubs, food security, agritourism, rural development, and farmland preservation give a general idea of this trend. The Wings of Time

The wings of Time are black and white,

The lonely Earth amid the balls

That hurry through [...]

Plus, I have met so many interesting and friendly people at the McRorie Community Garden. No negatives. It's a lifestyle change for me. Now, I look at every meal as an…
