Heart Attack

When I lived in Ireland, I woke up one morning and coughed, clutching

my chest. My wife's a cardiologist and she said "That's it. Come on,

we're going to the hospital." And, off we went to merry St. Vincent's in

Ballsbridge.

We checked in at the Emergency Ward and my wife casually mentioned that

she was a doctor, hoping that her status would grease the skids, as it

were.

They wheeled me into the… Continue

was a quiet mid-morning on Sunday, I believe. I walked from the hostel to a coffee shop, then to a park.

And, on the way back, I looked up and saw this guy lying…

You can read (I like it) or you can go outside and discover a few things yourself. What’s a You Pick farm? It’s a farm where you visit and pick your own fruit. There’s a new

hostel in Gainesville called “The Zen Hostel”. Owner Tobe Terrell gave

Green is the New Black

Morning conversations over coffee can be wake up calls. Let me reflect on what's in my head this fine morning.

Consider this scenario: A secretary with 2 kids making $22K/yr whose husband lost job drives into work and spends $100/wk on gas. That's 22K/yr and $5K goes to gas.

How about a medical patient who postpones a checkup because of transportation costs?… Continue
