GPD STEPS UP TO THE PLATE

I am deeply grateful and happy to let you know that the Gainesville

Police Department is joining in the effort to keep our homeless friends

hydrated and well through the extreme heat of this summer. They are

accepting donations of bottled water, sun screen and bug spray at their

THANK YOUS!

A belated thank you to the children of Westminster Presybterian Church,

who made 12 dozen dyed Easter eggs for us to take out. They do this

every year, and it's really special. Thank you to the P.K. Yonge 9th

graders who collected an awesome amount of food for us, along with some

GUERILLA LUNCH-FARE

That is what Arupa calls the food people are bringing to the perimeter of St. Francis House and to the downtown plaza to give to the people turned away after #130 is admitted to St. Francis House for lunch...

Home Van Pet Care Project News

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HOME VAN PET CARE PROJECT! In May it will be two years old. This project came about when one of our friends, Diane, came to a support gathering for homeless people with a tiny kitty in her hands. That kitty was part of our first all spayed/neutered cat colony in Tent City – the Tent City Tribe. Diane and her friend James are still our reliable caretakers for that Tribe of nine cats.
