Why I wanted to become friends with Zoobird

I came here by accident,if there ever is really an accident. I had part of the poem The Cold Within and was looking for the complete poem. This web sight had that and just spoke to me, so being the curious type and loving my feathered friends -birds I looked around and decided that this was a great place to seak out and voila! here I am. Life is good even with the trials and tribulations that we face. And being here on mother Earth wherever is always a joy! Is life always easy for me? no , but there is much happiness "whenever I hear the song of a bird, or look at the blue, blue sky. ... I'm glad that I live in this beautiful world Heavenly Father created for me"(from the Children's Songbook page228) So fellow Zoobirds I look forward to getting to know you all and I pray we can all gather the blessings of this mutual friendship

Welcome, Debbie.  I'm happy to tell you there is a book in the works which will tell the story of how The Cold Within came to be written. It will tell the story of my father's life and include his other poetry.

I'm glad you liked the poem, and I know you'll love zoobird.com.  Another poetry site you might like to look at is allthingsif.org:  http://www.allthingsif.org/

Debbie, You'll enjoy friending Tim, whose father wrote The Cold Within. It's a powerful statement and I'm glad looking for it led you to Zoobird. Best, Mike
