Event Description

Staff from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission present this exciting program about our elusive neighbor, the Gopher Tortoise. Often we see the burrow, or a pile of dirt, but have you actually seen a tortoise? Who else lives in these burrows? Why is this a tortoise and not a turtle? Join us as we "dig into" the life of this really cool creature and his friends.

The Micanopy Library program is Sunday, July 14 at 2 p.m.

The Alachua Library program is Thursday, Aug 8 at 2 p.m.

The Newberry Library program is Thursday, Aug 22 at 4 p.m.
