DESCRIPTION:We are proud to present the release of the second edition 
 of \"HOMEvan: A Gainesville Music Benefit for the Homeless\". With the
  mounting economic crisis, the most needy of our community have come u
 pon particularly hard times. Homelessness is at an all-time high in Ga
 inesville, as more people than ever before are finding themselves forc
 ed to live on the streets. Gainesville musicians, recognizing our comm
 unity’s growing hardships, are coming together to present a compilat
 ion of some of Gainesville’s best and brightest bands to raise aware
 ness for a local organization’s efforts to alleviate the growing pli
 ght.\nHOMEvan, founded in 2002 by Arupa and Bob Freeman and other comm
 unity activists, is a grassroots, volunteer-run outreach group providi
 ng a variety of services for the homeless, poor, and disenfranchised o
 f Gainesville. Twice each week, rain or shine, HOMEvan's volunteers br
 ing a nutritious bagged meal, soup, clothes, hygiene products, and (wh
 at many need most of all) an unjudging and compassionate ear.\n\nA ser
 ies of CD release benefit concerts will accompany the release of the c
 ompilation in order that they may raise awareness and funds. The line-
 up is as follows:\n\nSunday April 5th Common Grounds The Duppies, Chup
 askabra, The Damn Wrights, Battle!, and Lars Din.\n\nSunday April 26th
  Common Grounds: Grabass Charlestons, Liquid Limbs, Spanish Gamble aka
  Dirty Money, Crash Pad, and Gainesville Liberation Orchestra.\n\nSatu
 rday May 23rd Altantic: CYNE, Scum of the Earth, Cassette, and More ba
 nds TBA.\n\nRaffle items from local businesses and community tabling e
 vents will also take place at the show.\n\nAnd Bring socks and peanut
