 n-up sheet will be out by 6:30 and the\nfeatured readings will start a
 t 7 with the poetry open mic following.\nCome out to hear some wonderf
 ul local talent and to share 5 minutes of\nyour own work!\n\nKathy Bur
 kett is a recent graduate of the UCLA Extension Creative\nWriting Cert
 ificate program and is two classes away from finishing her\nBachelor's
  degree in English. She dropped out of high school at age\n16 due to m
 ental illness and has battled with it ever since. Her\npoetry has been
  published in print and online in various publications\nincluding Nerv
 e Cowboy, Right Hand Pointing, Revelry, and Poetry SZ.\nShe also makes
  visual and sound art. She is happily married, and she\nand her husban
 d are owned by two amazingly cute Dachshunds.\n\nJ Bradley is the host
  of the Broken Speech Poetry Slam held Thursdays\nat Stardust Video an
 d Coffee at 9:30 p.m, and will be doing a special\nEarth Day set. I'll
