Event Description

This is an invitation to all activists in Alachua County and the surrounding areas of North Central Florida for our 5th meeting:

When activists work together the possibilities are endless. Gainesville has a strong and diverse activist community that has been working on a variety of causes over many years. When activists work together for the many causes we are all fighting, we share our knowledge of the issue, our skills, creativity, and resources, and ultimately, we create a network that can move fast, a

ct strong, and create change. We also practice solidarity, build friendships, and strengthen our community.

The idea for this meeting sprung from the organizers of this year’s 2012 May Day, who included members from several activist organizations in Gainesville. Because of the success of May Day, consensus was made to meet monthly to organize further actions, events, or programs.

Please come with an open mind, a willingness to listen and work with others, and don’t forget your solidarity ;)
