On February 25th, the office of Peaceful Paths Domestic Abuse Network burnt to the ground. They lost everything. Marce, award-winning singer/songwriter will be hosting a benefit concert to help them get back on their feet as they have done for so many.

The "Voices Against Violence" event will take place on April 24th at the University of Florida Hilton Ballroom from 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM. Marce will be joined by Mayor Pegeen Hanrahan and Dr. Theresa B. Harrison, director for Peaceful Paths. In addition to the concert and a silent auction, Marce will be presenting the world premiere video for her song about a woman who was brave enough to walk away, "Jenny."

To support this event, you can purchase tickets, donate silent auction items and join our Facebook event! We look forward to sharing this important night with you!

Did you know?
Why this is important!

* 5.3 million domestic violence reports are filed in the United States each year. That is more than the population of New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine and New Mexico combined! Estimates say that actual cases are anywhere from 3 - 10 times as many.

* Domestic violence can be physical, sexual, emotional, economic or psychological. It can happen to anyone regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race or socioeconomic status.

* Reporting can increase when victims have a safe haven to turn to. We are lucky. In Gainesville, that safe haven is Peaceful Paths Domestic Abuse Network.

We are encouraging everyone to support this event by purchasing tickets, donating silent auction items, or volunteering and joining our Facebook event to help the word!
