Dangerously organic!

Have you ever wanted to build your own bike? How about one built with sustainable materials? Well, here's a great idea features on the Instructables website and noted on Sustain Lane, the "People-Powered Sustainability Guide".

Many of you read about Jose' Caraballo in the Elephant Journal article describing his Bamboo Loom.

Bamboo grows like weed and is very strong. Look at some of the photos of Jose's bamboo grove. There are many varieties of bamboo. The type Jose' grows has a solid core! That makes it even stronger. It would be perfect for a bamboo bike.

Here's a link to the article describing how to build a bamboo bike. There's even a free, online frame designing program called BIKECAD that will help you design your bamboo bike frame!

I have accumulated many bike parts and I vow to try building a bamboo bike. Stay tuned!
