The Piano Shop on the Left Bank

I read a book that kindled my love for music, pianos and travel. It's called The Piano Shop on the Left Bank, by Thad Carhart. It's about an American writer living in Paris who discovers a piano shop on the rive gauche. The proprietor, however, doesn't admit customers without an introduction from a current customer. Carhart manages to meet Luc, the atelier, and rediscovers his love for music and pianos. Luc's approach is to find just the right piano for the client. Carhart becomes immersed in the magic of music, friendship and the plot thickens.

I loved this book. The old saying goes "Lending a book is the same as giving it away." But, the book I lent to my neighbor Rebecca came back to me! So, I wanted to share it with you, my fellow Zoobirds.
