My favorite Senegalese dish is fish and rice, pronounced "cheboo jen". Lamine Ba's family dished some up as a special meal for me at their home in Dakar. Of course, it's the seasoning that makes the dish. They used pepper sauces dubbed "Tyson" and "Saddam" for reasons you can guess! Stay tuned, I'll see if I can get my hands on the specifics.
