Dangerously organic!

Fresh from the basement where its spent the past 20 years is a very nice example of an Italian road bike circa 1984. The frame (57cm) was manufactured in Italy by Biemmezeta and sold here by Performance, Palo Alto Bikes, and Ritchey. This is one from Performance, the "Campione" model. It's got tasteful scrolled lug work with painted details and metallic-red paint with chrome seat stays and fork. Over-all, the paint is in very good condition with minimal nicks, scratches, cable rub, etc... There are no dents. The frame is made of double-butted Columbus SL tubing and the Columbus doves are engraved in the fork crown and seat-stay scallops. It's also got brazed down-tube shifters, brake cable guides on the TT, and shifter cable guides underneath the BB.

The kit on this bike is a nearly complete (minus brake-set) Campagnolo Super Record group-set circa 1984: Front and rear derailleurs, shifters, head-set, BB, pedals, cassette, wheel-set (Super Record hubs w/ Ypsilon rims), and seat-post are Campagnolo Super Record. The brake-set is Modolo Professional and the bars (Giro d'Italia, 38cm) and stem (1R, black) are Cinelli.

A time and place for everything. Both get your heart racing, but the Campione uses muscles vs R1150RT gas!
