Dangerously organic!

Thank you to Michael for creating such a beautiful site. I felt this post would be appropriate for my introduction to the community. Much more will follow, I'm sure.

The meaning of life, as I've come to understand it, is to learn and act on what you learn.

Refocusing your concentration will help you in achieving goals.

Write down what you learn. It helps reinforce new ideas.

Keep your goals in front of you.

People say they want happiness in life, but happiness comes naturally when you do what you want to be doing. Figure out what that is, and the rest follows.

Concentrate on your awareness. Focus on your surroundings.

Look for beauty in cultures other than your own.

You are beautiful. If only more people told you. If only you didn't need to hear it, to know the truth.

Figure out what spirituality means to you. Refocus your concentration on it as well.

Look to be continually surprised by life.

Recognize that you can do anything.

Ask, believe, receive, and give thanks.

You are always a child unless you let life get you down. You can shed this shell at any time.

Foster your creativity.

Drugs are a way to awareness, but they are fleeting. They are not the way.

Learn a skilled trade.

Any addiction is bad for you.

Leave behind what brings you down, unless they are your kids.

Let your word be impeccable.

Be musical. Sing.

We can learn a lot from each other. Listen.

If you feel compelled to add your own words of wisdom or encouragement to this list, please do. I keep these words in front of me, and add to it from time to time. It's all about learning, from ourselves and each other. I would be delighted to see this continually grow.

Another suggestion is to start a list of affirmations for yourself, or modify this one to your individual needs.

Finally, if you appreciate what I've written, please consider adding me as a friend. It would be a pleasure to get to know you.

Thanks Ellen for your warm comments. I look forward to becoming more active in the Zoobird community, and you've helped in providing a friendly nudge. I wrote this to remind myself of what I wish to aspire to. It sounds like fortune has certainly smiled upon you. I'm sure I could learn a lot. :)

Zach, I just finished reading what you wrote on August 8, 2008 (my birthday) and love it. This is the way I live and I wish everyone could believe it, act on it, live in it and be filled with joy continually. I'd like to invite you to be my friend on this site and to join my new group, Environmental Zoo. See you there?

Have you always wanted to make your own bread? Well, here's a little article about making rye bread with a bread machine. This bread machine came from a thrift store and only cost $11.99! The ingredients to make Russian Rye were so simple you won't believe how easy it was. Enjoy!
