Zoobird

Dangerously organic!

Artist

Chip away,
Sand rough edges, varied patterns,
Circular, angular, jagged, straight,
Peel, cut, shave, reveal
New layers waiting to be born.

Trees shine, forming
Wet green networks,
Forests of leaves,
Entanglement of branches and lives,
Creeping, nesting.

The Child and the Sea

How fortunate you are, my child,
To live by this great angry sea,
Laughing at its roaring sound,
You dance upon such fragile ground,
Yet never tearful at those wild
And dangerous winds, that treacherous sea.

You play upon this trembling land,
No thoughts of dying, just today,
You do not hear the salty mourning
Voices of the pipers' warning,
*You are but a grain of sand,
The wind will take you far away."
