Community gardens in Seattle are thriving, with a two year wait to get in one. But the City is now allowing residents to have curb side gardens between the street and the sidewalk. They were previously banned, except with a special permit, but now many of beautifying the neighborhoods. My first year garden has been providing me greens for most of the year. I think this is a 12 month gardening region; for many vegetables. I'm love playing in the garden area I have and will keep expanding it. PIcked up about 80 gallons of very well composted manure from Kellsey City Park with many animals and a kids viewing, get close to the animals program. Rabbits, ducks, horses, a huge pig listening to a radio in her stall, cow, chickens. NIce ride with my four year old grandson who loved the adventure.
