Taos, Westies and The Abominable Snowmansion

Taos is one of my favorite places. Lots of interesting people live in Taos. John Nichols, for one. He wrote the Empaneda  Brotherhood, one of my favorite books. It’s a fun read. The drive from here to Raton Pass is spectacular. Raton Pass is a very steep road leading from New Mexico into Colorado. It’s especially spectacular if you’re in a Volkswagen Westy with a 90 hp engine. Maximum speed up the pass is about 25 miles an hour.
